About the job

As a Designer at ZIMMERMANN, you will play a key role in creating distinctive and commercially successful designs for the Swim and Resort product lines. This position is crucial in embodying the brand’s signature aesthetic and vision, contributing across all stages of the design process—from initial concept through to final execution. The team values collaboration and creativity, working closely together to deliver seasonal collections that align with both artistic and business objectives.

You'll be responsible for

Collaborating with the Creative Director and Senior Design Team

Work together on seasonal Swim & Resort concepts and story ideas, ensuring a cohesive vision.
🔍

Researching and sourcing inspiration

Gather ideas for fabrics, trims, prints, embroidery, textures, and colour palettes to inform design choices.
🎨

Developing design boards and illustrations

Create artworks for seasonal raw material development, supporting the visual storytelling of the collections.

Skills you'll need

🎓

Fashion design degree

A degree from an Australian or international institution with outstanding results in coursework and competitions.
👗

Experience with a designer brand

Minimum of 5 years' experience in the fashion industry, particularly with a designer brand.
💻

Advanced design software skills

Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, along with excellent technical drawing ability.
