About the job

The Executive Director will lead the Queensland development assessment, appeals, and compliance, playing a crucial role in facilitating State priorities for housing supply and economic development. This position is all about providing timely and transparent decision-making, ensuring that residents, industry, and local government have confidence in the planning process. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with various stakeholders to strengthen the department's strategic direction.

You'll be responsible for

Leading development assessments

Lead Queensland development assessment, appeals, and compliance to facilitate State priorities for housing supply and economic development.

Overseeing development proposals

Ensure development proposals are facilitated where needed and when it is needed, while ensuring the State’s interests are integrated.

Contributing to strategic direction

Work closely with the State Planner and colleagues to collectively contribute to the department’s strategic direction and strengthen the workplace.
