This job is about joining Rio Tinto’s People Data & Insights team as an HR Data Engineer, where you will tackle complex data challenges and create impactful cloud data products. You'll be responsible for

Designing data pipelines

Designing, building, deploying and operating scalable data pipelines and data products using cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
🛠️

Developing data solutions

Developing and optimising data engineering solutions using Databricks, Spark, Python, SQL and modern lakehouse patterns.
🔍

Translating requirements

Translating stakeholder requirements into well-modelled, trusted datasets that support analytics, reporting, data science and operational decision-making.

Key criteria

Cloud engineering experience

Proven experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
