About the job

Join the Information Technology (IT) Department at the Reserve Bank of Australia and play a pivotal role in transforming risk management. This job is all about enhancing the management of material technology risks and ensuring the Bank stays ahead in an ever-evolving risk landscape. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with teams across the IT Department and other departments to uplift risk culture and mature risk management practices.

You'll be responsible for

Providing subject matter expertise

Provide subject matter expertise, coaching, training and/or guidance to support the IT Department to implement a target uplift in technology risk management practices.

Ensuring alignment with frameworks

Ensure business operations and risk management practices align to the frameworks, policies, standards, risk strategy, regulatory obligations, and risk appetite of the RBA.

Supporting risk identification

Provide risk expertise to the IT Department in the identification and assessment of technology risks to achieve business objectives.

Key criteria

5+ years in operational risk

Experience in Line 1 or Line 2 roles within banking or financial services.
