About the job

This job is about joining CSIRO's National Biodiversity DNA Library to contribute to a transformative national initiative in biodiversity monitoring. By working closely with museums and biological collections, you will play a crucial role in specimen sampling and data management, helping to build Australia's most comprehensive DNA reference library. You'll be responsible for

🧪

Conducting specimen sampling

Conducting sampling of specimens, tissues and DNA extracts held in internal and external biological collections.
🗂️

Coordinating specimen metadata

Recording and coordinating specimen metadata, working with databases and other data architecture.
🛠️

Providing technical support

Providing diverse technical and logistical support to curators, taxonomists, and other technicians contributing to the NBDL initiative.

Biological science qualification

Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in biological science.
