An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lawyer with 2-3 years' Post Qualification Experience to join Mills Oakley’s National Pro Bono team in either Sydney or Melbourne. This role is crucial as it allows you to provide legal advice and representation to vulnerable members of the community, particularly in family law and family violence matters. The team values collaboration and is dedicated to making a meaningful impact through their work, ensuring that everyone feels supported and empowered in their journey.

You'll be responsible for

Providing legal advice and representation

Offering expert legal advice and representation to eligible clients through Everyday Justice, focusing on family law and family violence matters.
📅

Coordinating pro bono programs

Helping to coordinate Mills Oakley’s internal pro bono program, promoting pro bono work across the firm.
📊

Tracking and reporting pro bono performance

Monitoring and reporting on the firm’s pro bono performance, ensuring transparency and accountability in service delivery.

Skills you'll need

⚖️

Legal experience in family law and/or family violence

Demonstrated experience in handling cases related to family law and family violence, ensuring vulnerable clients receive the support they need.
🗣️

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to effectively communicate and interact with clients and stakeholders, fostering trust and understanding.
📋

Attention to detail and organizational skills

Strong ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization.
