You'll be responsible for

🏥

Providing orthoptic care

Planning, coordinating, and delivering high-quality orthoptic care to patients of the Orthoptic Department consistent with SESLHD policies, procedures, and standards.
🤝

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team in the Eye Clinic at Prince of Wales Hospital to provide orthoptic and ophthalmic care to outpatients and inpatients.
⏰

Responding to shift vacancies

Being available to cover shift vacancies as part of the Prince of Wales Orthoptic casual pool, either at short notice or rostered in advance.

Key criteria

🎓

Orthoptics qualification

Diploma or Bachelor of Applied Science in Orthoptics or equivalent.

Experience with strabismus and ocular motility disorders

Demonstrated experience managing adult and paediatric patients.

Ophthalmic assisting skills

Knowledge in perimetry, OCT, Pentacam, and ocular Biometry.
