You'll be responsible for

Conducting research

Undertaking research to identify and characterise genetic sources of crown rust resistance in oat germplasm.

Generating datasets

Creating high-quality greenhouse and field phenotypic and genotypic datasets to support identification of resistance loci, markers, and candidate genes.
📊

Data analysis

Analysing genetic and disease-screening data using quantitative-genetic, statistical, and genomic approaches.

Key criteria

🧬

PhD in relevant field

Completed PhD in plant genetics, molecular biology, or agricultural science.

Experience with recombinant DNA

Proven experience in recombinant DNA technologies like primer design and cloning.

Bioinformatics knowledge

Demonstrated knowledge in bioinformatics, including SNP calling and GWAS.
