About the job

The Recreation and Open Space Development Planner position offers an exciting opportunity to join the Recreation & Open Space Planning Team in Morwell. This role is vital for assessing and reviewing development plans for open spaces, ensuring they align with community needs and Council strategies. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with a small team to deliver impactful projects that enhance the community's recreational spaces.

You'll be responsible for

Assessing development plans

Assessing and reviewing development and landscape plans for open space areas within future residential developments.

Planning and delivering projects

Planning and delivering projects in Council's public open space areas, including parks and playgrounds.

Providing professional advice

Providing professional advice to ratepayers, external bodies, and internal officers to support strategic objectives.
