Providing lifecycle stewardship

Providing lifecycle stewardship across concept, design, construction, operation, closure, and post-closure, in alignment with the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM) and ANCOLD Tailings Guidelines and applicable PNG legislation and permits.

Setting operating limits

Be the delegated authority to set operating limits, require changes to deposition or construction methods, and suspend operations where facility integrity or public / worker safety may be compromised.

Working closely with EoR

Work closely with, but is independent from, the Engineer of Record (EoR), ensuring appropriate checks and balances between owner oversight and design sign-off.

Bachelor's degree in engineering

Bachelor's qualification in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required.

Chartered Professional Engineer status

Chartered status (e.g., RPEQ, CPEng) is essential.

Minimum 10 years in tailings or dam engineering experience.
