The Senior Engineer, Train Control Systems is a pivotal position within V/Line, focusing on the strategic direction of Train Control Systems architecture and standards. This job plays a crucial role in modernising legacy systems and ensuring safe, reliable transport for Victorians. Collaboration is key, as the team engages with various stakeholders to align investments and implementations with operational requirements.

You'll be responsible for

Leading Train Control Systems architecture

Lead Train Control Systems architecture, standards and technical documentation, guiding renewal of life-expired systems and supporting modernisation strategies.
📚

Developing guidance materials

Develop guidance materials, asset management structures and support disaster-recovery planning.
👩‍🏫

Mentoring junior engineers

Mentor junior engineers and support audits and close-out requirements, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development.

Tertiary engineering qualification

Possession of a relevant engineering degree with professional registration eligibility.
