Ensuring smooth court hearings

Ensuring County Koori Court hearings run smoothly for the accused person to engage meaningfully in the sentencing conversation with Elders, Respected Persons, and Judges.
🤝

Collaborating with Elders and Judges

Working closely with Elders and Respected Persons, Judges, and Associates to ensure that the Court has all relevant information to make decisions.
🌐

Building community relationships

Connecting and engaging with communities across the eight County Koori Court locations to build understanding, trust, confidence, and ownership of the County Koori Court.

Key criteria

Knowledge of Victorian Aboriginal culture

Understanding of cultural nuances to engage effectively with communities.
