This job is about joining Speechify's Platform team to build and maintain backend services that enhance user experiences. By ensuring that reading is never a barrier to learning, you will play a crucial role in impacting millions of users worldwide. You'll be responsible for

🛠️

Designing and developing APIs

Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API, internal APIs like Payment, Subscription, Auth and Consumption Tracking, ensuring they meet business and scalability requirements.
🔍

Overseeing backend API landscape

Oversee the full backend API landscape, enhancing and optimizing for performance and maintainability.
🤝

Collaborating with cross-functional teams

Work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with overall product strategy and user experience.

Key criteria

Backend development experience with TS/Node

Proven experience in backend development using TypeScript and Node.js.

Direct experience with GCP; knowledge of AWS or Azure preferred.
