This job is all about supporting the surgical team at St John of God Murdoch Hospital by ensuring that all instruments and items are ready for use in the operating theatres. Your contributions will directly impact patient care and safety, making you a vital part of a dedicated and friendly multidisciplinary team. You'll be responsible for

⚙️

Assisting with theatre setup

Facilitating and assisting in the set-up of sterile instrument working trolleys for each surgical procedure, ensuring everything is ready for the surgical team.
🏥

Maintaining sterile environment

Maintaining the integrity of the sterile stock environment, including storage, ventilation, and cleanliness, to ensure patient safety.
🧹

Cleaning theatres

Assisting with cleaning theatres between cases to uphold high standards of hygiene and safety for patients and staff.

Key criteria

Sterilisation technology experience

Proven experience with sterilisation procedures and instrument processing.
