Hatch sat down with Dosh, Marketing Lead at Fishburners to learn more about his story and why he uses Hatch to find work!
Dosh: I worked in Istanbul in events, and then became an events manager, after which I became a Sales Manager at a company that holds events all over Europe. After that, I moved to Australia and completed a Masters in Marketing at UTS last December.
I came across Hatch through LinkedIn, and I really liked its UI, so I created a profile. I got matched with this role on Hatch, and it looked like a really fun and exciting role. I also knew I didn’t want to work in corporate because you see your impact so much more in a startup, so I applied and landed this job.
Dosh: Know yourself, know what you’re capable of, your skills and interests, your values. When you’re applying for a job, really understand what the company wants as well. Hatch helped me see that, so I only applied for jobs that matched my values. Also, be confident in your skills and show that in an application.
Dosh: My sense of humour! I am a really funny person and I make people laugh. I think that’s allowed me to connect with people a lot, especially in startups when there is a lot more focus on personality. I don’t take things too seriously, and I think that really helps in work situations.
Like Dosh, if you’re on the lookout for work that’s a great fit for you based on your skills, motivations and values, you can explore roles on Hatch.
