This job is about joining a dynamic team that is redefining how the world experiences design. As the Acting Elements Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing creative direction and ensuring quality across various elements like photos, videos, and graphics. Collaboration is key, as you will co-lead the Design Studio and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to drive innovation and maintain alignment with Canva’s product and brand goals.

Leading craft quality

Upholding and evolving the quality bar across all element types to ensure cohesive, high-performing content.

Co-leading the Design Studio

Providing daily creative direction, critiques, and connecting subgroups to standardize quality and workflow practices.

Being the central point of contact for Brand & Partnerships

Triage brand/partner requests and drive alignment to steer partnership content toward impact and quality.

Skills you'll need

🎨

Creative leadership

A seasoned creative leader with experience in tech, media, or publishing, comfortable navigating between creative reviews and data discussions.
📸

Broad creative literacy

Expertise across photography, fonts, graphics, motion, video, copy, and audio, understanding how they work in content and in-product.

Strategic thinking

Ability to connect creative decisions to product metrics and business outcomes, driving data-informed strategies.
