You'll be responsible for

Preparing design plans

Preparing computer-aided design plans for Council’s capital works program, including road construction, drainage, and parks, in accordance with Council policy and engineering standards.

Managing projects

Project managing to ensure all approvals, reports, permits, and consultations are completed for the delivery of design projects.
🤝

Consultant management

Managing consultants engaged for civil design projects, including procurement, evaluation, and contract administration in accordance with Council’s Procurement Policy.

Skills you'll need

🎓

Degree in Civil Engineering

A degree in Civil Engineering is essential, along with relevant experience, or a lesser formal qualification with substantial relevant experience.

Experience in civil engineering design

Experience in the design of civil engineering projects using computer design software is crucial for success in this job.

Understanding of engineering principles

A solid understanding of engineering design and construction principles related to road and drainage assets is necessary.
