The Investigator (Environment Officer Class 8) job is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the environment and heritage of New South Wales. Working within the Investigation and Enforcement team, you will conduct thorough investigations and engage with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental legislation. The team values collaboration and supports hybrid working arrangements, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

You'll be responsible for

Conducting investigations

Undertaking end-to-end investigations into potential breaches of NSW environmental and heritage legislation.

Preparing reports

Drafting clear, accurate, and timely reports and briefs to support decision-making and regulatory processes.

Engaging with stakeholders

Building and maintaining strong relationships with co-regulators and other partner agencies to enhance compliance outcomes.

Key criteria

📜

Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience

Relevant degree or professional experience in investigations.
