This Lawyer/Associate position focuses on Business Human Rights within the ESG hub of the Disputes & Investigations team. The role offers a unique opportunity to work on complex advisory and contentious matters across various sectors, collaborating closely with Partners and a diverse team. You'll be responsible for

Advising clients

Assist with advising clients on complying with their modern slavery reporting requirements and related human rights policy advice, human rights risk assessments and due diligence.
🌐

Applying international human rights law

Advise on the application of international human rights law and the voluntary business human rights frameworks for clients in a range of sectors, both from a compliance and best practice perspective and in the context of disputes, inquiries and regulatory matters.
⚖️

Supporting ESG litigation

Assist on ESG and Business Human Rights litigation where the opportunity arises.

Skills you'll need

⚖️

Business Human Rights expertise

Experience specifically in Business Human Rights matters, including advising on the Australian modern slavery reporting regime within a disputes or risk and advisory practice.
🌍

ESG risk management

Support clients in understanding and managing ESG risks and issues.

Advisory skills

Assist with advising clients on complying with their modern slavery reporting requirements and related human rights policy advice, human rights risk assessments and due diligence.
