About the job

The job involves working with TikTok Networking, a team dedicated to creating innovative networking solutions that power popular apps like Douyin and TikTok. This position plays a crucial role in designing and operating a global network infrastructure that ensures high availability and performance. Team members are encouraged to collaborate across various functions and contribute to the evolution of TikTok's network.

You'll be responsible for

🛠️

Designing and building

Design, build, operate and optimize TikTok's global network, including backbone, data center, public cloud and Edge/CDN.
🤝

Collaborating with teams

Work with cross-functional teams including but not limited to compute, storage, database, recommendation system, driving the innovation and evolution of TikTok's network.

Vendor collaboration

Work with external vendors and ISPs for device and carrier selection, performing testing and verification.

Network protocol knowledge

Proven understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
