About the job

As a Risk Specialist within the Cyber, Operational Risk & Resilience or Technology Resilience teams, you will play a vital role in supporting the resilience of Australian Financial Services. Your work will involve supervising regulated entities, understanding data, and driving improvements in Non-Financial Risk management. The team thrives on collaboration, bringing together specialists to identify risks and trends while fostering an inclusive workplace where diverse perspectives are valued.

You'll be responsible for

Understanding risk issues

Understanding the key cyber, operational or technology risk and resilience issues within regulated entities, providing specialist advice to internal stakeholders as well as to internal and external working groups.
💼

Influencing decision makers

Successfully influencing regulated entity decision makers, as part of APRA's prudential activities, to implement improvements to risk and resilience management practices.
⚠️

Responding to risk events

Effectively responding to material risk events by working with multiple internal teams and external agencies to facilitate a coordinated response and communication.

Key criteria

Non-Financial risk management experience

Demonstrated experience assessing Non-Financial risk in APRA regulated areas.

Familiarity with CPS 220, CPS 230, CPS 234, and CPS 510.
