This job is about joining Canva's global Employment Legal Team as an Employment Counsel on an 18-month contract. You'll be responsible for

Providing strategic advice

Offer strategic, commercially pragmatic advice on employment law matters in Australia and across APAC.

Advising on employment matters

Guide on day-to-day employment matters including performance management, exits, and regulatory issues.

Collaborating with stakeholders

Partner closely with People, Total Rewards, Finance, and other key stakeholders to support growth.

Key criteria

⚖️

Admitted to practice in Australia

Valid legal qualification to provide employment law advice.

6+ years of employment law experience

Proven background in employment law, preferably in-house.

Experience advising HR teams

Demonstrated ability to partner with HR on employment matters.
