The Senior Practice Officer plays a vital role in providing operational and practice expertise to support the Intensive Case Management (ICM) Statewide team functions within Youth Justice Regional Operations. This position is essential for reducing chronic offending behavior through an evidence-based, integrated case management framework that collaborates with young people and their families. The team values collaboration, inclusivity, and a commitment to cultural capability, ensuring that all practices align with the Human Rights Act 2019 and support community partnerships.

You'll be responsible for

Show commitment to developing cultural capability to foster an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019, supporting programs aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Providing expert advice

Offer high-level expert advice and information to key stakeholders regarding complex Youth Justice Service delivery issues and trends, ensuring informed decision-making.

Coordinating project management

Lead and coordinate project management initiatives, including researching, planning, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing projects to ensure quality outputs are delivered within agreed timeframes.
