About the job

This job is about being a steady, compassionate presence for women and children who have experienced family violence. As a Specialist Family Violence Practitioner at Sanctuary House, you will play a crucial role in helping victim survivors feel safe and supported during their most vulnerable moments. The team values collaboration and is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of those they serve.

You'll be responsible for

Building trusting relationships

Establishing respectful connections that honour the dignity and empowerment of victim survivors.
🚑

Providing crisis response and case management support

Delivering immediate assistance and ongoing support aligned with family violence practice models.
🔍

Completing ongoing assessments

Regularly evaluating safety, needs, and circumstances from intake to exit to ensure effective support.

Key criteria

🎓

Tertiary qualification in social work

Possession of a relevant degree or benchmark qualification

Demonstrated experience working in family violence support services
