About the job

The Therapeutic Supported Independent Living (TSIL) Caseworker plays a vital role in providing high-quality casework services for young people in the TSIL program. By collaborating with a dedicated team, this job focuses on achieving permanency and positive outcomes for children and their families through a dynamic case management approach. The team values a supportive environment where everyone works together to help young people heal from trauma and reach their full potential.

You'll be responsible for

Managing case load

Managing a case load and maximising opportunities for all children and young people to benefit from the therapeutic approach.
📝

Developing therapeutic case plans

Ensuring that the emotional, social, behavioural, developmental, and educational needs of children and young people are met through the development, implementation, and review of individual therapeutic case plans.
🛡️

Safeguarding well-being

Ensuring that children and young people’s well-being is actively safeguarded and that any concerns are reported immediately.

Key criteria

📚

Relevant Bachelor's degree

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.

Experience in casework practice

Demonstrated experience in Out-of-Home-Care casework.

Understanding of Aboriginal culture

Knowledge of Aboriginal values and current issues faced by families.
