This job is about ensuring a safe and compliant environment at Novotel, Mercure & ibis Darwin Airport. By coordinating workplace health and safety activities, leading audits, and delivering training, you will play a crucial role in fostering a proactive safety culture. You'll be responsible for

⚠️

Coordinating workplace health and safety activities

Coordinate and embed workplace health and safety activities across a multi-site resort environment, manage incident reporting and investigations, conduct risk assessments, and actively promote a proactive, compliant and risk-aware safety culture for team members, contractors and guests.

Leading WHS audits and compliance

Lead internal and external WHS audits, maintain compliance registers and certification schedules, analyse safety data and trends, implement corrective actions, and ensure contractor activities meet legislative, organisational and WorkSafe NT requirements.
🎓

Delivering WHS training

Deliver WHS training to leaders, WHS committee members and team members, support onboarding compliance, maintain accurate training records, and coach leaders to strengthen safety leadership, accountability and operational capability.

Key criteria

🛡️

WHS experience (3+ years)

Practical experience in Workplace Health & Safety, ideally in hospitality.

Strong understanding of Australian Work Health & Safety laws and codes.
