We're upgrading Hatch profiles to give you better job recommendations, behind-the-scenes content and direct matches with hiring managers.
A big update
Finding meaningful work is tough. With so many jobs out there, it can be overwhelming to navigate options, understand what a company is really like, and stand out.
At Hatch, we wake up every day excited to change this and we’re about to take a big step towards our mission of helping you find meaning in work.
To date, Hatch has been a place where you can apply for amazing jobs in a different way. Soon, Hatch will evolve into a community of relevant people and jobs you can match with to help find your next chapter.
The first release of this product update, coming in a couple of months, will:
- Provide better job recommendations tailored to you – so you can find opportunities that align with your values, skills, and interests, where you can make an impact.
- Give you a deeper look behind the scenes – so you can better understand the culture and work style of the teams and companies you’re considering.
- Let you match directly with teams – so you can stand out by introducing yourself to hiring managers.
Looking further ahead, Hatch will allow you to follow companies and teams you’re interested in, join relevant professional communities, and explore potential career paths based on your skills and values.
Profile visibility updates
In the new version of Hatch, everyone will have a profile. Your Hatch profile is the key to how you’ll use the platform, and get the most from it! If you have previously set up a profile it will now be visible to the community. If not, you will be able to set one up once we roll out the new update.

This will allow you to match with others in the community, much like your Linkedin profile, as well as access all the great new features we’ve mentioned.
The release goes live in about seven weeks and you'll have full control over your Hatch profile settings (see below) and can update them anytime.
Your default profile setting
At Hatch, your privacy matters. As such, you can control what people see on your profile.
Below you can see your three profile visibility settings.

Your profile link is always accessible and you can always apply to jobs, but you control who sees what.
If you are subscribed to Hatch emails, your profile will be set to “Only people logged in to Hatch” by default. This will allow people to discover you.
If you are unsubscribed to Hatch emails, your profile will be set to "Only me", by default. You will need to change your profile setting if you want to be discovered by people on Hatch.
Your contact information will always remain private, regardless of your chosen setting, unless you choose to apply for a job at which point it can be shared with the employer.
If you would like to change your profile visibility setting for when this new product update is live, please complete this profile visibility form.
If you don’t want a profile, you can let us know through the same form above. We’ll be sad to see you go but we understand and respect your privacy and decision. Without a profile you won’t be able to use Hatch.
