Just as we were getting ready to formally launch Hatch this year, as a digital platform connecting students to meaningful work, news of COVID came through, demonstrating that even the best-laid plans can go awry.
As a startup, this could have easily spelled the end of things for us. But with some quick thinking and positivity, we were able to transform our matching technology and platform to create the Hatch Exchange.
It wasn't all smooth sailing though, and through this process, we've learnt a bunch of lessons that have shaped what Hatch as a product and our team culture looks like moving forward.
