You'll be responsible for

🏥

Classifying patients

Timely and appropriate classification of patients with eligible health funds or third party cover, ensuring smooth admissions.
🤝

Collaborating with teams

Working collaboratively with clinical and administration teams across the Emergency Department and wards to encourage private and compensable admissions.
🗓️

Providing roaming PLO service

Being available weekends on a rotating roster to provide a roaming Patient Liaison Officer service across wards and the Emergency Department.

Key criteria

Experience in hospital billing

Demonstrated experience in hospital billing processes and debt collection.
