The Senior Advisor - Data Governance is a pivotal job within the NSW Building Commission's Data, Intelligence & Analytics unit. This role is essential for overseeing data governance strategies and ensuring the lawful and timely dissemination of accurate data. The team thrives on collaboration and innovation, working together to enhance regulatory oversight and deliver impactful intelligence products.

You'll be responsible for

Triaging data requests

Governing incoming data requests by validating purpose, lawful basis, and appropriate access conditions before release.
🔗

Designing data-sharing workflows

Creating and operating workflows with partner agencies, documenting permitted uses and access conditions.
🗂️

Maintaining governance artefacts

Keeping core governance artefacts up to date, including dataset descriptions and user guidance to support consistent data use.

Experience with BCNSW regulatory legislation

Demonstrated understanding of Home Building Act and related laws.
