You'll be responsible for

Conducting inspections
Ensuring compliance with the Building Act 1993 and Building Regulations 2018.⚖️
Investigating complaints
Taking appropriate enforcement action on unsafe building works.📑
Supporting the Municipal Building Surveyor
Assisting in report and consent applications and writing legal briefs.Key criteria

Registered Building Practitioner
Valid registration as a Building Inspector is essential.View

Building Act and Regulations knowledge
Strong understanding of relevant building laws and standards.View

Experience in local government
Demonstrated experience in a council environment preferred.View
