About the job

The Emergency Management Officer job is all about making a meaningful impact on the safety and resilience of the Banyule community. This role is crucial for ensuring that the Council is well-prepared to prevent, respond to, and recover from emergencies. Working in a collaborative environment with a dedicated team, you will help strengthen emergency management systems and contribute to coordinated efforts across the municipality.

You'll be responsible for

Supporting emergency preparedness

Play a key role in supporting emergency preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation across the Banyule community.

Collaborating with teams

Work closely with the Emergency Management Team Leader and other internal teams to strengthen emergency management systems and plans.

Enhancing community safety

Contribute to the safety and resilience of the Banyule community by ensuring effective response during critical events.

Demonstrated interest in emergency management with relevant administrative experience.
